The port is located right in front of city of Horta with huge maritime traditions and very oriented for the sea activities & businesses being actually an important spot for Bunkering, Assistance & Sheltering to several international regattas and all vessels whenever crossing the Atlantic.


Also, this port is usually used by large vessels for lightering purposes due its deep waters and sandy bottom bay which offers a good holding ground.


Main Imports:


- Gasoil, gasoline, butane and all kind of manufactured goods.


Main Exports:


Fish, Dairy products and some manufactured goods.
